Annual Golf Day 2025

We held our 22nd Annual Golf Day at Riversdale Golf Club on Friday 21st March 2025, attended by many keen golfing clients. Everyone had a fantastic time, and we were blessed to have perfect weather.

It was also great to have new players join us this year. The course was in perfect condition, and we had some terrific prizes on offer.

Market Update & Outlook for 2025

On Wednesday, 13th November, we hosted our Market Update & Outlook for 2025 Seminar at Riversdale Golf Club. The event covered investment market trends from 2024 and provided insights into the outlook for 2025.

Our special guest, James Holt, Head Investment Specialist for Equities at Perpetual, joined us for his ninth year. With over 20 years in financial services, James is highly respected, having presented to countless advisers and investors and has appeared in various media such as CNBC, Sky News, and ABC. His articles have featured in multiple publications, including the Journal of Investment Strategy.

During the seminar, James presented key themes for 2025 and gave a comprehensive overview of the global economic backdrop, offering perspectives on potential impacts on investment markets in the coming years.

The seminar was well attended, and clients appreciated the opportunity to chat with James afterwards, and catch up with the team.

As this was our last seminar for the year we concluded the evening with some celebratory drinks and canapés. Our team enjoyed the opportunity to have a drink and a chat with our clients.

Quarterly Business Lunch: Estate Planning Seminar – Creating Certainty

On Tuesday, 21st May 2024, we held our Estate Planning lunch seminar at Leonda by the Yarra on this important topic. Our special guest presenters were Jennifer Dixon and James Dimond, Practice Leaders at Moores.

The seminar focused on a range of Estate planning topics, including Wills, the Significance of Asset Ownership, What assets are covered, roles and applications of Powers of Attorney, Superannuation, Estate Disputes and Elder Financial Abuse.

We held our Market Update & Outlook for 2024 Seminar on Wednesday 15th November at Riversdale Golf Club. The seminar covered investment market activity during 2023 and the outlook for 2024.

Quarterly Business Lunch 2022 – Investing For Yield In A Low-Interest Rate Environment

We held our first Quarterly Business Lunch for the year on “Investing for yield in a low-interest rate environment” on Monday 9th May at Leonda by the Yarra. It was fantastic to see so many clients and guests join us for our first face to face event since February 2019, just before being locked down in March of that year.

The presenters on the day were GFM advisers – James Malliaros, Patrick Malcolm and Paul Nicol.

Their presentation provided an in–depth insight into our research and investment selection process, and a deep dive into investments that are suited for a yield orientated portfolio.
